<p>Peter Freed is almost an institution in King West. His projects have played such an important role in the condo industry in Toronto that I named his first building, 66 Portland, as one of the top-10 condos that changed Toronto in a <a href="http://blog.buzzbuzzhome.com/2012/02/top-ten-condos-toronto-part-2.html" target="_blank">recent series</a> I wrote for <a href="http://buzzbuzzhome.com" target="_blank">buzzbuzzhome.com</a>. Now Freed is branching out of his favourite &#8216;hood and will be launching projects in the near future in the St Lawrence Market area (Sixty Colborne), Yorkville, and Yonge and Eglinton.</p>
<p>Freed&#8217;s projects are high on design and he is more forward-thinking than most developers downtown. This project is no exception and he brought on &#8220;starchitect&#8221; and local guy Peter Clewes from architectsAlliance to design the building.</p>
<p>The floor plans in this tower are the best I&#8217;ve seen from any project that has launched so far this year. The tower suites are all excellent and the podiums are pretty much all solid too. The rooftop will be ultra-sexy with a specially designed raised swimming pool and patio/lounge area. Imagine going home on your lunch break for a dip in the pool!</p>
<p>The St Lawrence neighbourhood is one of the best in the city. It&#8217;s right up there with Yorkville, King West, the Entertainment District,and of course the Yonge/Bay Corridors as the hottest in the city over the last 18 months. This building will appeal to investors, first time buyers and even down sizers with a sense for modern living. There are some larger suites in the 1000-1300 sq ft range which is refreshing to see and is perfect for this location.</p>

<p>The second tower of <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/ice-condos-by-lanterra-developments">ICE Condominiums</a> by <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/tag/lanterra-developments">Lanterra Developments</a> and Cadillac Fairview is about to be launched. Sales at tower 1 started back in July 2008, and that tower is well over 80% sold out.</p>
<p>The development is part of the York Centre community which is located at York and Bremner. Lanterra and Cadillac Fairview are the developers behind the highly successful <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/the-residences-of-maple-leaf-square">Residences of Maple Leaf Square</a> which will be right across the street from ICE. Other Lanterra projects include: <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/neptune-2-water-park-city-phase-vi">WaterParkCity</a>, <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/22-wellesley-condominiums">22 Wellesley</a>, <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/one-bedford-at-bloor">One Bedford</a>, <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/murano-north-tower">Murano</a> and <a href="http://truecondos.com/wp/burano-condominiums">Burano</a>, and 18 Yonge street.</p>
<p><strong>Wondering what all the buzz is about for this project?</strong> To begin, it is going to be big. Really BIG! <p>Peter Clewes of architectsAlliance (One of Canada&#8217;s resident Starchitects) designed the building and judging by the renderings it will certainly stand out and has real potential to be that landmark building that investors and condo buyers are always looking to be a part of.</p>
<p>It goes without saying that suites will feature stone counters, hardwood floors, stainless steel European appliances, cutting edge design and finishes, and 9&#8242; ceilings. These are not entry level, low-end condos. Prices are going to most likely be in the <strong>$600-$650</strong> per square foot range at the launch phase.</p>
