Turn on Economic Insights

Economic Insights is a public page that explains the wider economy behind your market — borrowing costs, inflation, employment, migration, and new housing supply — in plain English, alongside what each figure means for what buyers can afford. It refreshes itself as each figure is published, so there is nothing to write or approve each month.

Where to find it: Admin → Content → Economic Insights

What to do

  1. Open Economic Insights and read the overview of what the page covers.
  2. Confirm the market the page should speak to. During beta the figures cover the Greater Toronto Area, so the page is offered to sites serving that region.
  3. Turn the page on, and choose whether it also appears in your site menu.
  4. Review the live preview on the same screen — it is exactly what visitors see.

Good to know

  • Every figure shows its source, the date it was observed, and how it was calculated.
  • The page goes live once the first set of figures has been collected; until then it stays hidden rather than showing an empty shell.
  • Economic figures are shown beside your market data, never mixed into it.
  • If a refresh fails, the page keeps the last good figures and says plainly when they were collected.
